چکیده

US cotton producers are motivated to optimize planter performance ensure timely and uniform stand establishment early in the season, especially when planting sub-optimal field conditions. Field studies were conducted 2017, 2018 2019 evaluate effect of seeding depth downforce on crop emergence yield planted different soil moisture conditions representative dry, normal wet attained by applying 0, 1.27 2.54 cm irrigation within same field. Two cultivars (representing a small-seeded large-seeded cultivar, 9259–10,582 11,244–14,330 seeds kg?1, respectively), at depths 1.3, 2.5 3.8 with each paired three downforces 445 890 N block. Cotton was plots that measured 3.66 m (four-rows) wide 10.67 long. Results indicated affected across most higher observed cultivar 1.3 dry conditions, respectively. Lint also for all 2018. Planter varied among where exhibited than downforce. yielded greater 0 treatment 2017. The study results suggest matching settings prevalent along appropriate selection can help achieving optimal cotton.

Adsorption of arsenic on soil under different soil moisture conditions

The adsorption study was conducted on three Japanese soils with different soil properties to characterize the adsorption pattern of Arsenic (As). Double tube method was used to find out the effect of soil moisture levels on As adsorption. For this study, besides double tube method, conventional batch method also was used. The As adsorption showed two phase kinetics. An initial and rapid adsorpt...

Protective Role of Biochar in Different Soil Moisture for Prevent Soil Loss in Laboratory Conditions

The using of soil conditioners to water and soil conservation is essential and also, the effect study of soil moisture on the soil conservation process and its role on changing runoff, soil erosion and sediment yield is necessary for understanding and simulating the hydrologic response of soil. Therefore, the present study was carried with the aim of investigating the effect of biochar with amo...

Different sowing dates affected cotton yield and yield components

This study was conducted to determine whether selecting an optimum sowing date couldimprove yield. The experiment consisted of sowing a film-covered, drip-irrigated cotton field onfour sowing dates from April to May in 2011-2012 at the Agrometeorological ExperimentalStation of Wulanwusu, which was in an arid region of north-western China. Late sowing datesproduced less yield and water-use effic...

Germination (emergence) of Vegetable Seed as Affected by Different Soil Moisture Conditions.

Moisture is one essential condition for seed germination, and poor germination is very costly to growers. There is, nevertheless, little experimental evidence concerning the effects of different percentages of available moisture (5) on germination; more study of the subject is essential. Since most vegetable seeds are planted at shallow depths, there may be rapid fluctuations of soil moisture a...
